John Long has been appointed by the McCall's Chapel School Board of Directors to serve as the new president/chief executive officer of McCall's Chapel School Inc. Long is an Ada native and joins the organization after most recently serving as president of Legal Shield's network division. His duties will include planning, organizing, directing and leading the McCall's organization.

The board also promoted Cyndy Stone to the newly created role of vice president/chief operating officer. Stone is also a native of Ada and is a 20-year veteran of McCall's, starting as office manager and rising to interim CEO before her present appointment. Her duties will involve managing McCall's primary operations.

"We feel very good about getting the right fit and skill sets with these appointments," said McCall's board chairman, Lt. Gen. Richard Burpee (retired). "We believe that John can bring new energy, a fresh perspective and fundraising ability to the organization. Further, for many years we have been impressed by Cyndy's compassion and commitment to the welfare of our clients. We are all excited about the insight, direction and vitality that this new team will bring McCall's for the benefit of the individuals we serve."

"With McCall's 65-year history and vital purpose of serving the needs of a vulnerable population, we have generated literally hundreds of success stories in assisting individuals with disabilities in attaining meaningful, self-actualized and happy lives," Long said. "Although our organization has experienced periods of adversity and challenge in the past, our faithfulness and dedication to our mission has enabled us to continually rise above while providing the best care and developmental opportunities for our clients. I am confident that, going forward, we will take McCall's to new, ever higher, levels of excellence."

"I am honored to have been chosen for this new position," Stone said. "As the new COO, I am looking forward to working with our dedicated staff in meeting the standards of excellence for which McCall's has been long known."
