Medical Assistant
Department: Nursing

Job Summary: Duties may include but are not limited to: Scheduling appointments, assisting and transporting individuals. Ensure adaptive equipment is obtained and follow up as needed. Continually update and file medical documents in the medical charts. Complete all required paperwork (i.e.: medical consents.) Assist LPN's as needed. Complete Quarterly Progress Reports. Review all physician notes, orders for residents returning from physician appointments. Assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by physicians. Maintain confidentiality. Clerical duties as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Knowledge of State and Federal regulations governing an ICF/MR. High School Diploma or GED. Valid Oklahoma Drivers License. One year previous experience in a long term care facility. Completion of State approved CMA training program.
